I am working on my next project; WiredFlame.com. It is(or will be) a forum population site that will outmatch any competitor.  The thing you really need to do when starting something new is have a very good look at the competition. I found a few pretty popular sites similar to mine, and did some research. Turns out the main competition, forumshock.com, is earning a cool 2-3k/month. Privately owned without much maintenance.

Now to beat them in the forum population ‘market’, all I have to do, like for SEO, offer everything they offer, but more. Of course, they do have the atvantage of being in the business for much longer than WiredFlame, but I’m sure I can handle it with a few bucks to advertise :).
